Tom Brady hooks up with Rob Gronkowski (again) for second Super Bowl 55 Bucs TD

Brady-Gronkowski SB55

A couple of former New England Patriots teammates turned back their respective clocks connected on a couple of touchdowns at Super Bowl 55.

Tom Brady hit his favorite target in Foxborough, Rob Gronkowski, for a 17-yard strike into the end zone in the middle of the second quarter, giving the Kansas City Chiefs a 17-3 lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gronkowski is still proving what an offensive weapon he can be, especially with Brady calling the shots under center. The 31-year-old tight end now has 14 career postseason touchdowns, further extending his own NFL record in the process after breaking his tie with Hall-of-Famer John Stallworth with 12 TDs earlier in the game with his 13th playoff score coming the first quarter.

Gronkamania is alive and well in Tampa, where he hosted last year’s professional wrestling spectacle WrestleMania 36 and won the company’s 24/7 Championship title. There must be something in the Floridian waters that’s hulking up Gronk and wanting even more championships under his belt. So far, he’s well on pace to win his fourth- ever Lombardi Trophy if he keeps up his alarming scoring rate.
