It’s still early days, but EPL matchday 4 this 2019 features a number of interesting ties with top teams in action.

There’s the small matter of the North London Derby, while Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool are also involved in the mix.

Nitrogen Sports Blog went through the list of games and picked out five of the best Premier League games to preview from Game Week 4.

    Everton (12th) vs Wolves (15th)

    When: September 1, 2019, 9:00 AM ET
    Where: Goodison Park
Betting odds: Everton (+121) vs. Wolves (+264)
    TV Broadcast: NBC
In a clash between teams that finished 8th and 7th respectively last season, it’s hard to pick a winner from two sides that are equal on paper.

Both of these teams set to square off on EPL matchday 4 2019 have improved their first XI over the summer, but Wolves could have the edge thanks to the form of Ruben Neves.

They’ve yet to win with three draws so far this campaign, while Everton fell to a 2-0 defeat courtesy of Aston Villa. Expectations have been raised, and both have fallen short so far.

    Arsenal (3rd) vs Tottenham (7th)

    When: September 1, 2019, 11:30 AM ET
    Where: Emirates Stadium
Betting odds: Arsenal (+138) vs. Tottenham (+197)
    TV Broadcast: NBC
The North London Derby is always one to look forward to, with both teams raising their game for memorable matches. The two sides are set to battle for early bragging rights, while the Gunners will be desperate to get a win over their rivals after losing to Liverpool in game week 3.

Their last two league meetings have seen a red card shown to each team, while Harry Kane rescued a point with a late penalty in a 1-1 draw last time out.

Tottenham lost to relegation candidates Newcastle 1-0 despite having 80% of the total possession, while Arsenal were hammered 3-1 by Liverpool. A win for either would severely damage their rivals’ title hopes.

Southampton (18th) vs Man United (5th)

    When: August 31, 2019, 7:30 AM ET
    Where: St. Mary’s Stadium
Betting odds: Southampton vs. Man United
    TV Broadcast: NBC
Southampton have had an average start to the season, although they have been trying out new things under Ralph Hasenhüttl.

Their tactical unpredictability makes it hard to prepare for opposing managers, but Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s team should be confident as long as they’re able to convert their chances in this upcoming EPL matchday 4 2019 match.

Marcus Rashford missed United’s second penalty in two games when he struck the post against Crystal Palace. Patrick van Aanholt nabbed a 94th minute goal to snatch a 2-1 victory, adding early pressure on Solskjær’s side.

Chelsea (13th) vs Sheffield United (9th)

    When: August 31, 2019, 10:00 AM ET
    Where: St. Mary’s Stadium
Betting odds: Chelsea (+191) vs. Sheffield United (+163)
    TV Broadcast: NBC

It’ll be interesting to see whether Chelsea have fully shaken off their poor start to the campaign, despite playing good football at times.

Sheffield United have had early success thanks to their strong defensive setup, while Lampard’s team look rattled when facing almost any counter attack.

On the plus side, Tammy Abraham scored a brace in a 3-2 victory over Norwich, opening his account for the Blues with a well-timed finish.

He’s looked lively since making his debut, and is arguably the biggest goal threat for Chelsea going in to the game.

Burnley FC (6th) vs Liverpool (1st)

    When: August 31, 2019, 12:30 AM ET
    Where: Turf Moor
Betting odds: Burnley FC (-321) vs. Liverpool (+953)
    TV Broadcast: NBC
Burnley gave Arsenal a run for their money in Game Week 2, while Liverpool have yet to be troubled in the league.

The former earned a 1-1 draw against Wolves which is nothing to be scoffed at, but the latter are in incredible form with a streak of 12 wins dating back to last season.

A solid performance by Burnley could be enough to derail Liverpool’s good form in their EPL matchday 4 2019 meeting, but it’s hard to see past the only squad with a 100% league record.

Man City are waiting to snap at their heels, as the Champions are at home to Brighton.
