What to know about the Badgers (6-1)

Wisconsin vs. Ohio State 2019 NCAAF Week 9 moneyline odds for the Badgers: +421
Wisconsin’s College Football Playoff chances just went up in flames. The Badgers were the heavy favorites in last Saturday’s matchup against unranked Illinois Fighting Illini on the road, but somehow got upset in a 24-23 loss last Saturday.

Besides the loss, it’s how Illinois’ found a way to score that many points against Wisconsin, which had not allowed more than 15 points in a game prior to Week 8. However, it was their inability to take care of the ball that doomed Wisconsin, as the Badgers threw an interception and had two fumbles. While the loss stings, it shouldn’t define how the Badgers will play the rest of the season. Their defense is still one of the best in the nation.

What to know about the Buckeyes (7-0)

Wisconsin vs. Ohio State 2019 NCAAF Week 9 moneyline odds for the Buckeyes: -649
The Buckeyes barely broke a sweat in their 52-3 demolishing of the Northwestern Wildcats last Friday on the road. Ohio State got a masterful performance from Justin Fields, who had 194 passing yards (18/23) and four touchdowns, while running back J.K. Dobbs rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown.

No team has been able to figure out how to stop the Buckeyes’ offense. Wisconsin has the tools to do it, but the Badgers’ morale is now down following their loss to Illinois. The Buckeyes will also be playing in front of their fans at Ohio Stadium, which should add to the challenge the Badgers have to endure.

The last thing the Badgers want right now is fans hollering a reminder of their bad loss to an unranked opponent.
