NFL Survivor Pool Stories After Week 7

2019 NFL Survivor Pool Week 7 Stories

If you picked the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 in any of your NFL Survivor Pools, we can only imagine your anxiety while the medical staff held Mahomes’ leg and brought his knees back to its original position. Apparently, no worry needed as Matt Moore led the Chiefs’ offense and eventually plummeted the poor Broncos, 30-6, on Thursday Night Football.

One player did pick the Chiefs in the NFL Survivor Nitrogen Pool while the other two survivors decided to go the safe route and pick whomever was up against the Miami Dolphins, in this week’s case, the Buffalo Bills. We’re noticing a trend this season: the majority of the players across all survivor pools is taking on this “Fade the Fins” strategy as well.

In Week 7, it seems like there were not many upsets as we saw a dip in eliminations in all of the pools. Let’s go over the specifics that happened in the past week.

Competition rising

Across the mid and high-stake pools, we observed fewer eliminations in Week 7, as you can see in the table above. While all of the Nitrogen Pool players survived (3 of 3 remains in play for the 13 Bitcoin prize) both the MVP and the Hall of Fame Pools had players who picked the Chicago Bears and put their Survivor Pool lives in the hands of Mitchell Trubisky.

It was a bad idea as a couple of players from those pools won’t be advancing to the next round.

Some games to look forward to in Week 8

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs

The Packers and the Chiefs meetup on Sunday Night Football and as expected, Mahomes won’t be at center for Kansas City. Before the reigning MVP went down, this showdown would have been easily chosen as the Game of the Week. But still, it’s still a definite game to watch after Aaron Rodgers’ performance last week.

Carolina Panthers at San Francisco 49ers

Are the Niners really one of the Super Bowl contenders this season? San Francisco is still unbeaten after sliding in muddy Washington. But the 49ers have the easiest schedule as the six teams they have beaten, combine for an 11-28 record. In Week 7, Jimmy G and company go up against Carolina, a team fresh off a BYE week.

Kyle Allen has led the Panthers to four consecutive wins and is expected to continue to start at quarterback– perhaps more importantly, his play also started the Trade Cam Newton rumors in recent days.

For all those who have survived, make sure you lock in your picks this week! Good luck!
