Auburn recovered from a loss to the Florida Gators by decimating the Arkansas Razorbacks in Starkville over the weekend, 51-10. Auburn got a fantastic performance from Bo Nix, who had 176 passing yards and three touchdowns. Nix got ample support from Auburn’s run game, as the Tigers compiled 298 rushing yards and three touchdowns. The Tigers can’t afford to engage LSU in a shootout, though.

If Auburn is to take down LSU, Gus Malzahn will have to devise an effective defensive game plan to slow down Joe Burrows and company. One way to do it is to get to Burrows. Against Arkansas, the Tigers had three sacks and three quarterback hurries.

What to know about the LSU Tigers (6-0)

Auburn vs. LSU 2019 NCAAF Week 9 moneyline odds for the LSU Tigers: -433
LSU remains undefeated. The Tigers threw their weight around again on both ends of the field last Saturday, beating the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a 36-13 road win. Burrows showed tremendous poise amidst the Bulldogs’ pass rush pressure. Burrows was sacked three times, but managed to throw for 327 passing yards (25/32) and four touchdowns.

Burrows is going to be a problem for Auburn. Even Florida’s elite defense was not able to take the LSU quarterback out of the equation back in Week 7. The Tigers have scored at least 42 points in six of their seven games, thus far this season.
