2020 NFL Survivor Pool Stories After Week 3

2020 NFL Survivor Pool Stories After Week 3

With three weeks of action in the books, Nitrogen Sports players are getting a better feel for the NFL landscape this season when making their Survivor Pool picks.

However, not everybody was fortunate in Week 3 as there was a significant spike of eliminations week-on-week compared to Week 2. Only the NITROGEN Pool went unscathed but granted, only six players are left in that top-heavy pool.

Week 4 should provide plenty more upsets and surprises. As such, all survivors will have to be on their toes moving forward, especially with the news regarding the health status of several key NFL players possibly making their respective returns to the gridiron.

Let’s now jump into some of the most intriguing takeaways from Week 3 of Nitrogen Sports NFL Survivor Pools.

The cream of the crop from the Free and Prospect Survivor Pools are starting to emerge, seeing that no less than 200 players were eliminated in Week 3 from each of these two groups. Action in the Captain Pool is also heating up, as only half of the 407 players in that bunch remain in the hunt for the prize.

Smokin’ the Herb-ert

One huge reason as to why Week 3 proved to be the end for our contenders was because many were high on the LA Chargers, who’d shown more life on offense in Week 2 with rookie quarterback Justin Herbert pushing the Chiefs to the limit. Chargers backers were badly burnt this weekend, though, with Herbert’s terrific NFL debut seeming more like an optical illusion than reality. The question now is: are there any more survivors brave enough to side with the Bolts as they take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers at Tampa this Sunday?

High-Octane Competition at the Elite Tier

For the second-straight week, not one player from the NITROGEN Pool was eliminated after three of the nine participants were shockingly ousted from the competition as early as Week 1. Heck, with nearly a hundred large at stake at the NITROGEN Pool, it stands to reason that this group needs perfect precision with their weekly picks. All six users were wise to get the Colts and the Browns out of their way for the rest of the season knowing that the Jets and Washington were the respective opponents of those two teams in Week 3.

Some games to look forward to in Week 4

Minnesota Vikings at Houston Texans

Both Minnesota and Houston had high hopes of making a deep playoff run this season, but they’ve both been disappointing thus far, to say the least. The Week 4 clash between the two winless clubs may be the best opportunity for anyone looking to scratch off either these two teams from their remaining survivor picks this season.

The question now is: are there any brave souls willing to take a shot at either the Vikes or the Texans in a must-win situation for both parties? We’ll shout out one daring user next week if we happen to catch them with either a Minnesota or Houston lock in Week 4 and live to fight for another day.

Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers

This Monday Night Football showdown will be very intriguing, to say the least. Many of our users have so far shied away from locking in Aaron Rodgers and Co. after three weeks given that the 3-0 Packers had what looked to be stiff competition to start the season.

We expect a lot of people to make a Lambeau Leap onto the Packers bandwagon this week. The Falcons are in utter disarray and fans are calling for head coach Dan Quinn’s head already. But bettors beware: Atlanta’s potent offense is the real deal and the team would’ve won at least two of its first three games had it not been for back-to-back epic meltdowns this past couple of weeks.
