The Long Road to Survivor Glory

We started with over 8,700 entries across all our NFL Survivor Pools, then after 17 weeks of exciting regular-season action, a grand total of 164 winning entries emerged victorious from their respective survivor pools.

The three winners over at our high-rolling NITROGEN Pool were crowned as early as Week 15, but now it’s time to award the rest of the winning entries over at the other pools.

The Free Pool had the most entries at 1,801 entrants and ended up with the most number of ultimate survivors as well at 38, with the 38 victors splitting the purse amounting to close to $9,800 (0.3 BTC). Four of our other pools – the Prospect, Draftee, Captain, and All Pro Pools – each also finished with winners in double-digits. Meanwhile, our Rookie, MVP, and Hall of Fame Pools were hotly-contested throughout the campaign, as each pool finished the season with a single-digit number of winners.

Our final survivors over at the MVP and Hall of Famer Pools, in particular, will be celebrating like it’s New Year’s Eve all over again considering the huge amount of money coming their way. The eight winners at our MVP Pool will split a whopping $165,000+ (5.07 BTC) amongst themselves, whereas the five-way split between the winners at our Hall of Famer Pool will see each contestant receive about $36,000 apiece out of the 9 BTC total prize amount.

We’d also like to commend User 183 for pulling off the rare feat of winning in two of our survivor pools this season. Not only did our long-time registered user survive two separate pools, he/she even placed stakes at two of our more lucrative pools at the MVP and Hall of Famer Pools. That’s an estimated haul of approximately $50,000!

Well done, User 183! Looking forward to having you at our Survivor Pools run next season to put your skills to the test once more for all to revel in.

Time to Pop the Bubbly

The 2020 NFL regular season was quite a doozy, especially with the global pandemic situation taken into account and nearly derailing survivor pool activities everywhere. But alas; all’s well that ends well, and it’s safe to say that our 2020 Nitrogen NFL Survivor Pools contests were well-received and as intense as the previous season.

As a silver lining to the tumultuous year that was, bitcoin’s value reached all-time highs as we entered the new year. As such, the prize amounts that each of our winners will take home have steadily increased leading up to Week 17, with 1 BTC reaching over $32,000 in value as of this writing.

Last but not least, our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all participants at our survivor pools. We wouldn’t have had a successful survivor campaign without our loyal and growing fanbase. Our congratulations also go out to all the 135 ultimate survivors for a job well done. We look forward to having you back next season for another action-packed run at our survivor pools, which we’re committed to improve and have bigger prizes at stake.

Here’s a toast from us at Nitrogen Sports to you, our battle-hardened survivors, to another smashing season of football, and to a fortune-favored 2021 to all of us!

Some games to look forward to in the First Round of the 2021 NFL Playoffs

Although the dust has finally settled at our survivor pools, there’s obviously even more exhilarating NFL action ahead with the postseason set to begin in a week’s time. Here are a couple of the best matchups both worth watching from the comfort of your own home and placing some winning stakes on over at Nitrogen Sports.

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Two of the three AFC North teams in the playoffs will do battle on Sunday night to cap off the wild card round of the NFL postseason.

Cleveland and Pittsburgh just squared off in Week 17, with the Browns securing their first postseason berth in 18 years with a win over their bitter division rivals. However, the Steelers rested a bunch of their starters for that game in preparation for the playoffs. When the Browns faced the Steelers at full strength in Week 6 earlier this season, Ben Roethlisberger and Co. demolished Cleveland, 38-7.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

Another division rivalry is on tap in the wild card round, as the two NFC West hopefuls in Seattle and Los Angeles look to make their respective returns to the Super Bowl.

Each side won a game in their two annual division meetings this season, with the Seahawks winning the latest contest from Week 16, 20-9. Seattle has allowed the second-most passing yards per game this season (300.7 passing YAPG), but the health of QB Jared Goff could end up being the Rams’ undoing. Goff just underwent thumb surgery, with head coach Sean McVay “not sure” if the former first-overall pick will be good to go by Saturday afternoon.
