2020 NFL Survivor Pool Stories After Week 14

2020 NFL Survivor Pool Stories Week 14

There were a couple of crucial upsets that happened in Week 14 of the NFL regular season, namely the Philadelphia Eagles’ win over the New Orleans Saints and the Buffalo Bills beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. Did these two matchups have a huge impact in our Nitro NFL Survivor Pools in Week 14? Let’s find out below.

Kindly be reminded that rescheduled games will always be a possibility throughout the regular season that’s still enduring the effects of the global pandemic, and this could greatly affect survivor strategies for each remaining participant in our contests. As such, we still highly encourage all players to know what will happen to our survivor pools in the event of future cancelled or postponed games in any given week by reading up on the subject.

That being said, let’s now take a closer look at the data for our NFL Survivor Pools through seven weeks of football, as well as our takeaways from all the action this past week:

The 12th Man Crew Coming in Clutch in Week 14

For the first time this season, only one team ended up being the consensus pick across all our nine Nitro NFL Survivor Pools, and that team is the Seattle Seahawks. Our survivors were right to hold off this long to lock in the Seahawks despite other tasty matchups earlier this season, as their Week 13 clash against the Jets proved to be the best time to side with Russell Wilson and Co.

Just when we thought that most of the league’s best teams have been selected in prior weeks, our crafty contestants were all on the same page this week to keep their respective survivor campaigns alive. Kudos go out once again to all who are flying high after Seattle’s rout of New York!

A Quiet Place Part II (Non-Theatrical Release)

Make that back-to-back weeks wherein our remaining survivors displayed great mettle at making wise picks this previous week. Only 27 out of the 596 remaining participants in Week 13 (less than five percent of the total headcount) were eliminated from contention, with the Seahawks win playing a huge role in this outcome for the majority of survivors.

At this rate, there could easily be multiple winners for each survivor pool of ours given how each remaining player has been exceptional at making survivor picks throughout this season. As such, we’re eager to find out which heavily-favored team will carry the load for the entire field in Week 15, and if there are any of those surefire locks left if any at that.

Some games to look forward to in Week 15

New York Jets vs. Los Angeles Rams

If we’re to point out just one key takeaway from this survivor season, it would have to be the fact that nobody can go wrong with picking the team facing the still-winless New York Jets whenever possible.

This week, the Los Angeles Rams are the Jets’ next opponent, and there are no indications that the Rams will disappoint whatsoever. Sean McVay’s side currently has the upper hand over the aforementioned Seahawks for the top spot in the NFC West standings, with huge wins over the likes of Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Arizona over the last five weeks.

Detroit Lions vs. Tennessee Titans

Tennessee’s Derrick Henry exploded against the Jaguars this past week against the Jaguars, and we’re led to believe that the former Heisman Trophy winner will have another fantastic outing against the mediocre Lions in Week 14.

The Titans threw off a lot of survivors earlier this season when they were forced to reschedule their one game due to pandemic concerns. But now they are ripe for the picking again as a superb survivor lock against Detroit, who could be without starting quarterback Matthew Stafford (ribs) for Sunday afternoon’s showdown at the Music City.

For all those who have survived, make sure you lock in your picks this week! Good luck!
