Favorites and Sleepers of Dota 2 Summit 11

    October 28, 2019 | Esports Dota 2 Summit 11 Favorites and Sleepers

The first event of the Dota Pro Circuit is considered as one of the most important, and Summit 11 is no exception with $300,000 and 660 points up for grabs. Nitrogen Sports Blog breaks down the favorites and underdogs of Dota Summit 11.

    The Favored – Invictus Gaming

Invictus Gaming would be viewed by most people as the best team attending Summit 11. They came through the cut-throat China qualifier pretty easily, and won a thrilling final, with their veteran player Kaka showing great decision making when leading his team full of young stars.

They haven’t really played anyone outside of China since before The International, so they’ll likely be out for blood, wanting to prove themselves on the international stage once again.

The Sleeper – Ninjas in Pyjamas

The past month has been pretty turbulent for NiP, but they have been looking good ahead of Dota 2 Summit 11. They now have an entirely different roster, with only Ppd remaining from the old one. The addition of former EG superstar Universe surprised many, but NiP were able to sweep the European qualifiers of Summit 11.

Up against better opposition they have seemed shaky, but the teams that they need to beat are usually no issue. With a few more weeks of practice under their belt, NiP should make a deep run at Summit 11.

The Long shot – Quincy Crew

A squad reformed to contest this season’s DPC, Quincy Crew are the newest roster at the competition. While they are by no means the best team at the competition, they have looked like a problem for some teams, with EG losing a game to them in the NA Chengdu qualifier.

Quincy Crew swept the NA qualifiers, but faced no real tough opposition. It’s possible that Summit will be a wake-up call for them, but in a more relaxed environment than tournaments usually are, it’s possible that they’ll be able to do damage once more.
