VIDEO: Nikola Jokic drains tough game-winning shot vs. Timberwolves

Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic is back at it again. Just two days after putting the Philadelphia 76ers to sleep with a game-winning jumper at home, the Serbian delivered yet another clutch shot, this time to bury the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road in a 100-98 victory.

That’s the kind of shot an average big in the NBA shouldn’t even try, let alone drain, but Jokic is also far from a middle-of-the-road center. While he looks fluffier and less athletic than many of the other star centers in the league, Jokic makes up for those shortcomings with his craftiness. That Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns was the one who challenged Jokic shot was emblematic of where the Nuggets center stand among the best players in his position in the league today.

The game-winner was barely the only good thing Jokic did in the Timberwolves game, as he stuffed the stat sheets with 20 points, six rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block in 36 minutes of action.

The Nuggets are on a  four-game winning streak and will look to extend their run when they play Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at home Tuesday night.
