What to know about the Detroit Pistons (0-3)
Pistons vs. Sixers betting odds for Detroit: TBA
The Pistons are still winless, having lost all of their first three games of the season. The latest setback was against the Atlanta Hawks on the road, 122-104, last Monday. With two full days of rest before hitting the court Thursday, the Pistons should at least be coming into the Sixers game with fresh legs. Detroit’s offense is simply sputtering right now. The Pistons are averaging only 91.3 points on 40.9 percent shooting from the field.
They are better on the other end of the floor, with opponents putting up just 104.3 points. Detroit could be getting a break this time, with the Sixers unlikely to have Joel Embiid on the floor Thursday because of knee soreness. Meanwhile, the Pistons could be rolling without Jerami Grant (elbow) again, which means bigger loads for Saqqiq Bey, Kelly Olynyk, and Josh Jackson.

What to know about the Philadelphia 76ers (2-2)
Pistons vs. Sixers betting odds for Philadelphia: TBA
It’s been an up-and-down season so far for the Sixers, who have alternated wins and losses through their first four games. The hope for Philly is that the team can get back on track following a 112-99 road loss to the New York Knicks. The Sixers have not won a home game this season, though they have only played once in Philadelphia to date. They lost to the visiting Brooklyn Nets, 114-109, on Oct. 22 before consecutive road games against the Oklahoma City Thunder (a 115-103 win) and the Knicks.
Even if Embiid fails to suit up for Thursday’s game, the Sixers still have Andre Drummond to cover the void in the middle. Drummond, a former Piston himself, isn’t the bucket-getter Embiid is, but he can get rebounds and protect the rim. The scoring will be mostly left in the hands of Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Tyrese Maxey. Philly’s a big threat from deep, shooting 39.2 percent from the 3-point area. Whether they make their shots or not from there, the floor would always be stretched for the Sixers’ offense.
Pistons vs. Sixers betting trends
- The Pistons are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games.
- The Sixers are 1-4 ATS in their last five at home.

What’s your Pistons vs. Sixers prediction?
Things are not looking good in Detroit. The Pistons haven’t even won against the spread in any of their games this season. But the Sixers also are not looking like a top playoff contender this season. At some point, the Pistons is going to beat the spread, at least. With two days of rest and going up against a Sixers team that’s potentially going to miss Embiid, this could be a good time to bet Bitcoin on Detroit to cover.
