5 NBA Games to Watch from November 27-December 1, 2019

November 27, 2019 | Basketball LaMarcus Aldridge NBA 2019-20 season

The San Antonio Spurs used to be among the elite teams not only in the Western Conference but in the entire NBA. Times have changed, though, as the Spurs are struggling to keep up. Still, San Antonio is a team that can be relied upon to fix things so long as they have Gregg Popovich plotting plays for them. The Spurs will be in a marquee matchup this week against the Los Angeles Clippers. That showdown along with other Nitrogen Sports Blog’s 2019-20 NBA season must-watch games of the week are previewed below.

What to know about the Jazz (5th)

The Jazz have been in good form recently. At the time of writing, they have won three of their last four games, although their most recent outing was a close 122-118 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. They currently hold an 11-6 SU record.

What to know about the Pacers (6th)

Like the Jazz, the Pacers have also won their last three, having faced some solid opposition. They defeated the Brooklyn Nets as well as the Orlando Magic with their most recent win being a 126-114 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. They hold a 10-6 SU record in the Eastern Conference.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs Game Preview

    2019-20 NBA Week 5 Must-Watch Games No. 2
    When: Friday, November 29, 2019
    Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio
Odds: Clippers (TBA) vs. Spurs (TBA)

What to know about the Clippers (3rd)

After some inconsistent results, the Clippers now seem to be firing on all cylinders. They have won their last five games with their most recent outing being a huge 134-109 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The return of Paul George from injury has played a role as he is averaging 25 points and 6.3 rebounds over six games so far.

What to know about the Spurs (10th)

The Spurs have been underwhelming this season so far. Although they got back to winning ways with a 111-104 win over the hapless New York Knicks, their current record at the time of writing stands at 6-11 SU. However, given how they always seem to make the playoffs, it would be unwise to rule them out just yet. But their chances don’t look too good against the red-hot Clippers.

    Betting trends

The Clippers and the Spurs have both won twice in their last four regular season games against each other. However, the Clippers have won the last two.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns Game Preview

    2019-20 NBA Week 5 Must-Watch Games No. 3

Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix
Odds: Mavericks (TBA) vs. Suns (TBA)

What to know about the Mavericks (4th)

The Dallas Mavericks have been on fire recently. They have won their last five games in a row with their most recent win being an impressive 137-123 road win against the Houston Rockets on Sunday. A key factor has been the performance of Luka Doncic who is already putting up MVP numbers with an average of 30.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 9.8 assists over 16 games so far.

What to know about the Suns (7th)

The Suns started off the season brightly but have suffered some inconsistent results of late. They have won just two of their last six games with their most recent result being a 116-104 loss to the Denver Nuggets. It puts their record at 8-8 and they will look to avoid going under .500 when they meet Dallas.

    Betting trends

The Suns have won seven of their last nine regular season games against the Mavericks. However, Dallas have won their last two.

Washington Wizards vs. Los Angeles Lakers Game Preview

    2019-20 NBA Week 5 Must-Watch Games No. 4
    When: Friday, November 29, 2019
    Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles
Odds: Wizards (TBA) vs. Lakers (TBA)

What to know about the Wizards (9th)

The Wizards recently had a nice stretch, winning three in four until they entered the loss column once again with a 113-106 home defeat to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Considering they are just four games behind the sixth-placed Indiana Pacers, they can still hope to make the playoffs even with a current 5-9 SU record. But results need to improve fast and the Lakers won’t be an easy game by any means.

What to know about the Lakers (1st)

The Lakers continue to dominate the NBA. They have won their last eight games in a row to comfortably sit atop the Western Conference with a 15-2 SU record at the time of writing. The power duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis continue to rack up the points as it seems an inevitability they’ll end up with the best regular season record this campaign.

    Betting trends

The Wizards and the Lakers have both won twice in their last four regular season games against each other

Miami Heat vs. Brooklyn Nets Game Preview

    2019-20 NBA Week 5 Must-Watch Games No. 5
    When: Sunday, December 1, 2019
    Where: Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Odds: Heat (TBA) vs. Nets (TBA)

What to know about the Heat (3rd)

The Heat continue to exceed expectations. They have won six of their last seven games with their only loss in that run coming to the Philadelphia 76ers. Their most recent performance saw them defeat the Charlotte Hornets in a 117-110 victory on Monday. They currently sit third in the Eastern Conference with an 11-4 record and should be confident of a win on the road against the Nets.

What to know about the Nets (7th)

The Nets have picked up some steam lately. They have won their last four games in a row, with the most recent victory coming in a 108-106 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. It puts them at .500 with an 8-8 record. However, the red-hot Heat will be a huge step up in competition from their last few outings. Kyrie Irving — averaging 28.5 points and 7.2 assists — and company need to be on their game.

    Betting trends

The Heat and the Nets have both won twice in their last four regular season games against each other.
