    After everything that transpired in the Mayakoba Golf of Classic, the 2020 PGA Tour hops on into the next tournament — the 2019 RSM Classic. It’s the first tournament in several weeks that a 2020 PGA Tour event will be played in the United States after going international in its last five.     Last year, Charles Howell III took home the top prize in the 2018 RSM Classic which was worth $1.152 million. The total purse back then was $6.4 million. This time around, the PGA Tour payout for the 2019 RSM Classic has increased by $200,000, meaning the winner of this year’s RSM Classic will pocket $1.188 million.

    That would be the biggest purse in the history of the RSM Classic, which only began in 2010. That year, the total purse was only worth $4 million and the winner, Health Slocum, finished with a 14-under par for the $720,000 grand prize.

    The detailed breakdown of the purse for this year’s RSM Classic has yet to be officially released, but for comparison, here’s how the committee distributed the money in 2018.
