The 2019 RSM Classic PGA Tour Betting Preview
It’s time to see what the newly-designed Plantation course at Sea Island Golf Club has to offer, with Charles Howell III returning to defend his title in Georgia.
He’ll have to contend with a range of competitors who will be vying for a spot in January’s Sentry Tournament of Champions, and The RSM Classic is the last chance for players who haven’t picked up a Tour win this season.
It’s also the final opportunity to earn FedExCup points before 2020, so there’s a good mix of talent on display in an event that doesn’t always have the strongest field among the 156 players.
Nitrogen Sports Blog lists down some of the favorites and sleepers to watch out for in the tournament. Also check out Nitrogen Sports for the latest The RSM Classic betting odds 2019.

2019 RSM Classic favorites
It’s always hard to pick out a winner, as everything from form to weather conditions can have an impact on the potential fortunes of the players.
The course is finally ready after a nine-month renovation to the five-star Sea Island resort, although the changes shouldn’t have a bearing on the end result.
Charles Howell III
The RSM Classic betting odds 2019: +2000
Charles Howell III saw off Patrick Rodgers in a playoff to record his third PGA Tour win in the 2018 edition of the RSM Classic.
It was his first tour victory since 2007, and he managed to hold on after leading all week. Howell is currently placed just outside the top 50, but he knows the course well.
The RSM Classic betting odds 2019: +800
Webb Simpson is tenth on the overall money list for this year, and managed to drag himself back into the mix after a few years in relative obscurity, following his US Open win in 2012.
Simpson was the Players Championship victor in 2018, and placed third in the RSM Classic last time out. He’ll have half an eye on the Presidents Cup, but the PGA event is a good opportunity to capitalise on a solid year. He’s ranked 11th overall.
The RSM Classic betting odds 2019: +1800
Matt Kuchar is also planning to take advantage of the final PGA event before the Presidents Cup.
Kuchar has won twice in 2019, and it’s his last chance to add to his tally in a year in which he’s already surpassed his best career earnings. He comes in ranked 22nd overall.

2019 RSM Classic sleepers
It’s always worth mentioning a couple of sleepers if you’re looking for a decent longshot. Here are a couple of picks to look out for if you’re aiming for the best possible odds.
The RSM Classic betting odds 2019: +3500
Adam Hadwin will be hoping to use the RSM classic as practice for the upcoming Presidents Cup, and he’s in good form heading into the event.
He saw his second consecutive top-five finish with a T4 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in October, and he’s ranked 46th overall.
The RSM Classic betting odds 2019: +5500
Lanto Griffin has had an incredible 2019, building on his Web.com Tour win in April with a maiden PGA Tour victory in October’s Houston Open.
It was his fifth consecutive top 20 appearance, and he’ll be hoping to build on the run that saw him triumph by a single stroke.
It’s sometimes hard to pick a winner, especially when nobody has had the chance to try out the new course.
However, there’s still a number of top ranked golfers missing, leaving the ones that made the effort with a greater chance of success.
