November 28, 2019 | Sports Hero Challenge Purse breakdown 2019

A relatively small field of golfers will come down to Albany in the Bahamas to compete for the 2019 Hero World Challenge. What it lacks in field size, the tournament makes up for star power. Composed of only 18 competitors, the 2019 Hero World Challenge features the likes of Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, defending champion Jon Rahm, and of course, the host — Tiger Woods. Nitrogen Sports Blog takes a look at the past purses of this tournament and reveals its current top prize.

The 2019 Hero World Challenge is not part of the 2020 PGA Tour, and its purse isn’t as big as most PGA Tour payout but the limited number of participants means that the winner will take home a sizeable piece of the prize nonetheless.

Last year, Jon Rahm topped the competition and pocketed a cool sum of $1 million. Since the total purse for this event remains the same ($3.5 million), the breakdown of the prizes should be similar to the one the tournament had in 2018.
