What to know about the Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams vs. Denver Broncos betting odds for Los Angeles: TBA

After a lackluster 13-6 loss to the neighboring Chargers in Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams had a much better showing during their Week 2 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, 17-16.

The Rams only had second-year backup quarterback Bryce Perkins take snaps the entire game. Perkins had a relatively solid performance, going 26-of-9 for 208 passing yards and two touchdowns. The gunslinger out of Virginia did throw an interception in the third quarter, which would result in a Raiders field goal to tie the game at 10 apiece.

On the bright side, LA’s defense did pick off Vegas’ Nathan Peterman twice and held the Silver and Black to just 229 yards on offense and 13 first-down conversions. The Rams’ depth on D will be a huge factor to their success this upcoming regular season, especially since we’ve yet to see just how the new-look offense with veteran QB Matthew Stafford under center will perform.

What to know about the Denver Broncos

Los Angeles Rams vs. Denver Broncos betting odds for Denver: TBA

Over in the Rockies, meanwhile, the Denver Broncos are putting on a fantastic preseason campaign. They secured their second win in a row with a 30-3 rout of the Seattle Seahawks this past Saturday.

The starting QB battle between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater remains unsolved, but it appears as though the latter has just gotten the upper hand. Bridgewater went a crisp 9-for-11 for 105 passing yards and a score against Seattle and has now thrown a total of three TDs and just three incomplete passes across two games.

The Broncos’ offense has scored no less than 30 points in each of their two preseason games thus far, but it’s the defense that has impressed even more. Denver’s D has yet to surrender a touchdown to the opposition with standouts in the secondary such as Justin Simmons and rookie corner Patrick Surtain II making huge impacts immediately.

What’s your Los Angeles Rams vs. Denver Broncos prediction?

There’s no denying that the Broncos are poised to win their preseason finale. On the other hand, the Rams should give some of their starters some more playing time just to get a better feel the team’s depth chart, and those starters playing well on Saturday night even for a brief moment could spell the difference between a win or a loss for the Rams.
