Tiebreaker Rules via My Combined Score

  • Players must place a prediction of a total combined score (or “My Combined Score), which will be used in the event that multiple players are tied for the points at the end of a tournament. This will be the first method (Tiebreaker No. 1) utilized to break a tie.
  • The game considered for “My Combined Score” will be the last game of that particular league/tournament (examples below);
  • In the NCAA Basketball Tournament this would be the NCAA National Tournament Championship Game;
  • In the NBA Playoffs, this would be the final game of the last series or the NBA Finals;
  • In the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, this would be the final game of the last series or the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.
  • This information will be used to determine the winner or better-ranking entry in the leaderboard in the event of a point-score tie after the grading of all rounds in a bracket. The closest prediction to actual combined score will be declared the winner in the tiebreaker.
  • In case a player or multiple players fail to place a prediction (in My Combined Score); the default score prediction for the player/s would be zero (0).
  • In the event of any tie for any spot after utilizing Tiebreaker No. 1, the following rounds of that tournament will be considered (up to whichever is applicable to the particular league/tournament format);
  • Tiebreaker #2 – the higher points total in the “last four teams” round
  • Tiebreaker #3 – the higher points total in the “last eight teams” round
  • Tiebreaker #4 – the higher points total in the “last sixteen teams” round
  • Tiebreaker #5 – the higher points total in the “last thirty-two teams” round
  • Tiebreaker #6 – the higher points total in the “last sixty-four teams” round
  • If there are still ties even after utilizing all six tiebreaker processes, the prize pool will be shared equally among all owners of tied entries. (combined prize for involved spots in the payout board).
